I am really enjoying having a project to work on in my spare time (which I have an abundance of). I really enjoy decorating and I really love Matteo so what would be better than decorating Matteo's room!? Pieces and ideas are coming together.
Here is the crib:

Ok, so ours is still in the box. This next picture is the display one in Baby's First Furniture where it was purchased. Thanks to Sergio's parents for the gift! The bedding on there is not ours, but isn't it pretty!? It would be my second choice...if I had one.

Here's the rocking chair we got yesterday! So excited. I was getting a little sad, thinking we wouldn't be able to get it! But YAY! It's ours!
Here's the rocker: (it swivels too!)

Here's ours with the matching ottoman...right after Sergio carried it upstairs all by himself. It's a bit of an awkward piece of furniture to carry! I walked out of our bedroom to find him like this. HA!

Sergio painted Matteo's Room last weekend and I already LOVE IT!
Before:

During:

He was painting the trim and couldn't resist the open wall...it was painted over...we have other ideas up our sleeves for fun designs on the wall!!!

We are also using a baby cabinet that was my sister's, then my brother's and then mine, when we were lil babies and now Matteo will have it. For some reason it is currently a dark blue but Sergio is working on beautifying it... that is likely a whole other post for another time. If you look in this picture you can see the inside is yellow. It has seen many colors in it's time! More updates on the cabinet later!

COLORS!!! Here are the fabric swatches that we're planning on using for the bedding and the window coverings! Thanks Mom! She is making all the bedding and window coverings and is helping me with the creative juices!!! So excited! They are beautiful colors and textures. I do have to send an appreciative shout out to my sister-in-law,
Stephanie and my mom for finding these. We are now looking for one more to add to the group. It's in the works.

Here are two more lil ornamental things to go in his room, I am sure soon to be removed as soon as our Matteo starts to climb (which I am afraid will be sooner than I think, according to stories of Sergio as a child--oh dear!)

The bird actually has some newly special significance, I will write more about that later! :) I love them "M"! Another find by my mom at Kirklands! I am so glad she found it. I love it!
OH! And I almost forgot one of my fave details! A NEW CEILING FAN LIKE YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN! HA!

It's a tiny little baby fan! Look at it's lil blades! Regular fans are often about 52" give or take but this lil guy is only 24" but pumps out the cooling power of a 36 incher! It's not like Matteo will immediately be needing a fan or anything but it's just so darn cute. If we were having a girl I was dying to put in an adorable girly chandelier but that's not gonna fly with my boy...or my husband. I couldn't find a good link to it online so I just took a picture of the box! How cute is the fan? I just want to start talking baby talk whenever I see it!
And these little gems my mom found online! I LOOOOOVEEEEE THEM! They are sooo pretty! Um, I mean, they are so boyish and manly...whatever.

Laying them on he floor doesn't exactly do them justice, they will look wonderful and amazing on the wall!
So that is his room at this point. So enjoying seeing it all come together.
A little update on our health. I had a little scare on Tuesday morning. Matteo had not been moving around as usual over night and the previous afternoon. Tuesday morning I had my mom drive me into the OB's office as soon as they opened with out an appointment but figured, if they wouldn't take me (although I knew they would) I would just go next door to the ER and have him paged that way! (Lil trickster) Anyways, They hooked me up to the monitors and all that and discovered I was dehydrated (which I was surprised because I drink SO MUCH WATER)... Anyways... we could hear Matteo moving on the machine and after about an hour or so I could feel him moving again. They were glad I came in. So, we are fine! I wish I didn't have to get up 8-10 times a night to pee but, it's a small price to pay really.
I go to the 4D ultrasound specialist again on Wednesday for my 30 week ultrasound (although I will be 29 weeks). Will keep ya updated and maybe even have more pictures of Matteo to share!
