First let me reference this post as well as this post... yes, me and my best friend, the Emergancy Room were reunited once again. Let me confess something here. After the doctor told me it's probably an ulcer back in January I followed up with a GI specialist but never followed through with the out patient procedure to have a camera put down into my stomach for a proper diagnosis.
I paid for it.
Sergio had to go out of town for work on Thursday...Matteo was really sick on Friday and then Saturday, I was double over with pain in my stomach and throwing up and had some other yucky symptoms. boo
Throughout Saturday morning, I got progressively worse and could not stand the pain and was terribly dehydrated. The ER doctor gave me fluids and morphine so the pain was tolerable. When the morphine wore off, it was bad again. They pumped more pain meds into my veins and also sent me home with more pain and nausea medication, some Prilosec and told me to start only with clear liquids and to progress drinking then eating from there. That wasn't working so well yesterday, I threw up all the water and ice chips I had. :(
I need to get the procedure done. I know that this time, after the terrible pain that I am not just going to get better with out doing something about it.
Boo. It was so hard with Sergio being gone but my mom totally took care of me and my dear friend Lisa took Matteo. The ER doctor said if I couldn't get the pain under control then I would have to go back to the ER and they would admit me. Hopefully, I can call the GI specialist and have him fit me in sooner rather than later.
So that's it. Sergio get's home tonight. I miss him.
The joys of the traveling husband.
