Ok, longest title on the planet. I know. I have a feeling this will be one of those post where I ramble on then go back and edit out a lot of it. We'll see. I'm just getting started.
Today was my first Mother's Day. Becoming a Mom was/is magical and amazing and wonderful and it has it's ups and it's challenges of course, but I'm also pretty sure there is nothing else like it. Mother's Day is intended to honor Mom's and I'm all about that (especially since I have an awesome Mom) but without children where would we Mom's be? ;) I love you Matteo! I'm just sayin', I love my boy! What is indeed awesome about Mother's Day is the ring
Sergio Matteo gave me! It's so pretty. I might have circled things in a catalog and left it in a conspicuous place. Just maybe.

So... I got a job! I will be working part time for a Pest Control Company doing all the officey things. NOT killing bugs because I'm not able to think about roaches and spiders etc without getting a shiver and saying "bleurgh" or something similar. ;) I am still trying to work out the details of where Matteo will be for the long run. I'm sure it will come together. The summer is the tricky part really.
If anyone has suggestions or offers, I could really use them! For now I think I have it set for the fall (pretty sure), since he already goes to Mother's Day out (and is thriving there) I will work during those hours. It was all very sudden, like, Tuesday, the owner of the Pest Control Company approached me about it, Wednesday I accepted the job and Thursday I started working. I'm beyond delighted to have been offered and to have accepted this job and my new boss is super-uber-great and it all really was a God thing.
So that's the gist about that.
Hurray!
And finally for this post... losing weight. I am finally seeing and feeling progress. Since I started walking 3 miles a day for about the last 6 weeks I have lost 18 pounds, a total of 34 since I had Matteo. I still have a ways to go, but the progress is encouraging to keep on going. I'm going to add strength training this week. Woohoo!
I'm not sure how to wrap up this post, so I will tell you Matteo now has 8 teeth and that he went swimming twice this week! Pictures to come in another post soon, I'm sure!
Buh-bye loves,
