You have to watch this video. It explains so much.
I had a mom with a 6ish year old boy of her own look at me with all three boys coming out of the childcare at the gym and say "you're brave...tut tut...you're brave" What?
Another lady at the gym came up to me and not only did she pull back the canopy on the twins car seats (go away) but she started trying to educate me on how the whole twin thing must've come from my husbands side. That would have been a miracle if he had ovulated two eggs, lady!
Recently I dropped prescriptions off at the pharmacy for both boys. The pharmacy calls and says "um, one prescription says Marco and one says Massimo...but they say the same date of birth and....um..." I said "they're twins" she started laughing and said "oohhhhhhh" Really?
In an elevator in The Woodlands mall just this Saturday (where Matteo got the cutest hair cut!) A woman asked me if I will "keep trying for your girl". Oh, um, what? That would be dumb.
Hair cut picture!

I didn't really know where I was going with this post but there we have it. Time for some updates.
Massimo and Marco are really growing and changing. I cannot believe they are already over 4 months old. They are starting to roll over and are even sitting up in their bumbo seats...As shown at the breakfast table this weekend. :)
They are laughing and cooing away. Both are teething and trying to suck their thumbs (which I'm not thrilled about but have decided to let go of it). Marco is a good 2 inches longer than Massimo in the 90th-ish percentile with Massimo roughly in the 25th-50th percentile. (roughly, for length and for weight, btw fyi. :))
Marco has a muscle condition known as torticollis. Basically it's typically a twin thing. Because they were so squished in the womb Marco was always looking to his left which made a muscle in his neck over develop and another under-develop. Bottom line it's easier for him to look to his left and not so easy (muscle wise) to look to the right. We were referred to a pediatric physical therapist by my a.m.a.z.i.n.g pediatrician and we go for treatment on a weekly basis right now but that will decrease as he improves (likely in about 4-5 weeks). Thankfully and Praisefully to God it's a relatively mild case.
We went to the Pediatrician for the twins 4 month check up on Thursday of last week and one of the front desk girls walks over to me as I am talking to the other front desk girl and says "so ya, I was thinking about you and was wondering...do you ever sleep?" haha I must look tired... I think we both do. lol You can see it in the eyes.
As for Matteo, he had his two year check up on Friday and he is also doing well. I'm not sure what the pediatrician thought about his practicing his yelling skills once he realized the awesome echo he could make in the exam room. That is what they get for having stained cement floors.
I know people are always apologizing for their blog being all about their children and nothing else, but why would I apologize for that!?
I love y'all, keep coming back!
