A Small Little Story

You will not believe what happened this morning.  Ok, you might believe this.  But I'm still in shock.  I had to take the boys to the doctor today.  All three.  Usually it's a crying, screaming mess of a visit when I have to take all three.  I end up leaving there exasperated and sweating. 

Here is Matteo wearing Grammy's purse as a backpack and pushing his stroller around... whatever works.

Today I was just commenting to the pediatrician that our visit was going well and how good Matteo was being, and he then walked up and smacked her in the butt.  Awesome.  Ok, ok, I can handle that.  I told Matteo no...he definitely got in trouble of it, for sure.  Then I kept talking to the doctor about the boys.  The next thing I knew, Matteo walked up to her and he kicked her in the ankle.  He kicked her.  He kicked her.  I was in shock.  But I managed to kneel down and "scold" Matteo.  I stood up and turned to the doctor and was speechless.  She said it was the first time she had been kicked and I gave her a horrified look.  I could feel the embarrassment and horror radiate off of me.  But she was messing with me!  She laughed and said she has had all kinds of crazy things happen to her and reassurred me that it was just his age!  I seriously about died. Today we actually saw another doctor in the practice than we normally see...turned out to be good.  The normal doctor we see is much more serious and it would not have gone over well.

Thank God he kicked Dr. Smith instead.  ;)
